Thanks for calling in and having a look at our dogs. We hope you enjoy your visit and pop back from time to time to see what we are up to. Our dogs are our beloved pets who we show from time to time with some success. The first half of 2005 was not a big year in the show ring due to maternal duties however it finished with a bang with Neo representing Ridgebacks at the hound of the Year heats in October. He made to the last round which was fantastic! Spring Fair was also a great weekend with all our dogs winning their classes and Shai going on to win reserve Bitch challenge. Not bad for an old Girl! Rhodesian Ridgeback Details

Height:
Male: 63-69cm (25"-27")
Bitch: 61-66cm (24"-26")

Colour:
Solid shades of light wheaten to red wheaten, with or without a dark mask.

Coat:
Short, dense & glossy with a unique ridge along their backs.

Features:
The body is well balanced and muscular. They are agile & very active, with elegance & soundness with no tendency towards massiveness. Dark or amber eyes in accordance with nose colour which can be black or brown. Ears hang to the side of the head. Their tails are moderate in length.

Temperament:
Loyal, gentle, aloof, intelligent.

Lifespan:
10-12 yrs

Recommended for:
Active people & families.

Ridgebacks enjoy an active lifestyle and this includes swimming!
